A grant in the amount of $50,000 was received from NDN Collective and Oweesta in 2020. The grant was awarded to fund HCA projects to support Hopi Small Businesses as well as develop a website for better marketing and outreach to our target market.
- The Hopi Small Business Project was launched in partnership with the Hopi Relief organization to:
- Develop a Hopi Business Directory (coming soon)
- Provide resources to business owners
- Hold a Business Directory Fair to allow local businesses to advertise and sell their products
- Create a network of businesses to disseminate information
- Provide training in topics relevant to Hopi business owners
- Begin work to possibly create a Hopi Chamber of Commerce
- The Marketing Project helped to develop a more complete website for the HCA as well as a new brand for our organization. The new branding as well as the website was created by tmsr Design Delivery out of Flagstaff, Arizona.
